Power Planning and Monitoring Company (PPMC) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual for the position of Managing Director. PPMC, established in October 2021, is responsible for supporting the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) in monitoring, coordinating, and policy formulation for various divisions within the energy sector, including DISCOs, transmission and system operations, market operations, and more.
The ideal candidate will possess a Chartered Accountant qualification from ICAP or a Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Energy Management from a recognized institution. A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years in a senior managerial or head capacity, is required. The candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the energy sector, including power generation, transmission, distribution, and regulatory frameworks.
Key responsibilities include providing visionary leadership, implementing strategic plans, managing budgets, financial planning, and ensuring organizational activities align with legal and regulatory standards. The candidate must demonstrate strong decision-making skills, ability to manage complex environments, and excellent interpersonal skills to build strong partnerships with stakeholders.
The position is a full-time contract for an initial period of three years, including the first four months on probation. The contract is extendable for another term of three years, subject to satisfactory performance. The salary range for this position is 1.5 to 2.0 million PKR per month, along with transport and other facilities according to company policy.
