Description
The Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCISR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology has announced multiple job openings for qualified professionals. These positions are available on a contract basis for one year, extendable till the completion of the project based on performance. The project is titled “Gene Editing of Biological Agents for Nutritional Biochemical and Therapeutic Purposes” and will be conducted at the PCISR Labs Complex located on Ferozepur Road, Lahore.
The vacancies include Research Officers (PPS-7), Research Associates (PPS-6), Admin Officers (PPS-7), Lab Technicians (PPS-5), and Office Assistants (PPS-5). For the Research Officer and Research Associate roles, candidates with PhD and MS degrees in fields such as Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, Metabolic Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Microbiology are preferred. Experience with CRISPR/Cas systems and automated fermenters is an added advantage.
For the Admin Officer position, candidates with at least MSc/MA in Economics and a minimum of 5 years of experience in office administration, accounts, and HR management, especially in public sector projects like PSDP, are encouraged to apply.
Lab Technicians and Office Assistants require at least a BSc or equivalent, with 2-3 years of experience in R&D organizations or the public sector, preferably in PSDP projects.
