Description
A leading Karachi-based Petroleum Refining Unit is seeking an experienced professional for the position of General Manager Operations. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the refinery.
The candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and bring 15-20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. A minimum of 10 years in a managerial role within the petroleum refining sub-sector is preferred.
The role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including troubleshooting, operational issue resolution, managing turnarounds, budgeting, and ensuring efficient operations. Additionally, the General Manager will supervise technical services, maintenance, safety protocols, and process improvements while identifying opportunities for optimization and yield enhancement.
