Description
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoIB), Government of Pakistan, has announced a prestigious vacancy for the position of Executive Member PEMRA (Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority). This full-time position is on a contractual basis and requires an individual of eminent standing with substantial expertise in fields such as media, law, human rights, or social services.
Candidates must possess at least a Master’s degree in Media Studies, Business Administration, Management, Finance, or Law from an HEC-recognized university in Pakistan or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign institution. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in prominent institutions, especially within the media industry, along with a strong understanding of media laws. The selected candidate will be responsible for functioning under the PEMRA Ordinance, 2002, as amended by the PEMRA (Amendment) Act, 2023.
This is a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to the regulatory landscape of Pakistan’s electronic media. The position offers a competitive salary package ranging from PKR 300,000 to 500,000 per month, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role.
The appointment will be for a tenure of 4 years, with the possibility of extension, but the incumbent will retire upon reaching the age of 65 years. The maximum age limit for applicants is 61 years as of the closing date of the application.
